Officers arrived at 4243 Bernau St. and discovered a strong odor of marijuana.

Officers questioned the suspects about the smell and were denied access into the home.

After obtaining a search warrant, officers seized 442 grams of marijuana, two handguns, ammunition, an undisclosed amount of cash and drug paraphernalia.

Dawan Smith, 24, was arrested and charged with possession and intent to distribute marijuana, and possession of a fiream by a felon. Jesse Johnson was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and several outstanding warrants.

Bond information on each suspect was not provided in the release.
